Hi I’m Em…
Em Power Moore. It’s who I am and what I do, I empower more art. I’ve been passionate about teaching and creating engaging art events for 30 years, but it’s also how I switch off and ground myself.
I draw to de-stress, watercolour for my wellbeing and find my flow state through a paintbrush. Watching the paint flow literally helps me go with the flow and reduce stress levels. Creative play releases feel good dopamine and keeps my hands busy which helps me practice mindfulness and switch off my inner perfectionist and over-thinking mind.
I teach Calming Watercolour Workshops on Sunday afternoons across Melbourne and pop up in Workplace Wellbeing Programs. So far I’ve partnered with ClassBento, Australian Multicultural Community Services, The Chestnut Tree Bookshop, The Ageing Positively Festival, School Can’t Australia, Mackillop Education Services and The Western Bulldogs Community Foundation. I have also written for the Sensory Wellness edition of international wellbeing magazine Wellness on Time and my own blog.
Reconnecting with my own creativity genuinely helps me reduce stress and feel better. It helps me relax, let go and find my flow. I’m so humbled it has resonated with others.
